A couple of years ago, I came to the conclusion that I wanted a Chihuahua. I was out with a friend and I told her this. She didn't say anything. Lo and behold, when I drove her home and was helping her with her packages, her daughter was there with a Chihuahua wearing a pink bow. Since the daughter already had a dog and a friend leaving town had given the Chihuahua to her, she was going to give it to her nephew. The nephew lived in an apartment and could not have pets. Yep!! That's right! I got the cute little doggy. The young woman couldn't remember what the dog's name was, maybe Snoopy or something like that. She said the dog had been responding when she called her "Lady," so she's been Lady every since.
She has the strangest taste in food for a dog. She dearly loves ice cream and baked goods. She eats popsicles, chips, and even watermelon!! She's very protective and a great watch dog, also she can be somewhat jealous. She looks like a Meerkat and even dances around on her hind legs. She's a funny dog.

I have a kitten named Bella, she is more like a puppy than a kitty she is adorable my dauhter Kelsi named her and she is like my 6th child I wish I had a picture to show but none as of now, but hopefully soon...

You name it, I've had it (I'm a wildlife rehabilitator)!...my favorites, Guthrie the opossum and Millie and Mollie my twin 'coons! Presently, I have 4 dogs, 4 cats, a ferret, a rat, and a tortoise, and yes, they all get along! My household in the past has hosted all different kinds of birds (great horned owl, red tailed hawk, grouse, flicker, sparrows, to name a few), iguanas, Sophie the potbelly pig (I look a little like her...), opossums, rabbits, squirrels, 'coons, and yes! They ALL got along! Now if I could just work on my kids........

GOOD LUCK with that one bc, getting the kids to get along I know how hard and impossible that can be, I've got 5 and some days I just want to pull all my hair out, lets just say tonite is one of those nites...

I have a cat named Countess Jewely Madeline. My brother found her
out by the grocery store he works at (Jewel) He called and asked if we wanted her. We had just had our little 6 month old kitten pass away and
I was so afraid to get another cat cause I didnt want my heart broken again.
But we took her and she has grown into a beautiful long haired calico cat.
Its been 3 years now and Im so glad we have her. She is a joy.

Good luck to everyone, I love reading the stories and seeing the pics.! I don't have a pet now, just three wonderful children, whose stories could fill these forums... lol
I did own a dog for a year, My husband gave me LadyBird (weird name for a dog, but i liked it), when I was pregnant with my daughter 6 years ago, when my daughter was 3 months old, LadyBird was stolen from our backyard. She was a beagle, weird thing, Our neighbors at the time had a rabbit.... we use to joke that they had something to do with the disappearance of LadyBird. ???rabbit... beagle. ??? well the investigation continues (joking). We search for a long while, I just hope where ever she ended up, She is happy. She got me through a really rough time!!!

I don't have a picture of my pet however, her name is Tara and she is a siamese cross. She actually belonged to my significant other's dad, who has Altzheimer's and can't take care of her. So we promised him we would keep her and give her a good home. Now she has taken over. She won't stay in the house anymore, don't know why but she would rather stay on our porch. Every morning when she hears us get us she knocks on the door to let us know she is hungry. And she will only eat one certain kind of cat food and no other. She guards our porch with a ferocity but nothing else. She is sable colored with beautiful blue eyes and a stripped tail like a racoon. What a picture. And what a spoiled kitty too!!!
