NFL Week 15 Betting Odds, Notable Matchups, TV Schedule By Christopher B. Watford for NoLuckNeeded.com

We’re in the final weeks of football and some teams are making a serious push for the playoffs, while other teams are on the outside looking in. Most everyone enjoyed watching the Patriots lose on the final play in their matchup last week against the Dolphins.

While Tom Brady is busy losing to the Dolphins, let’s take a look at this week’s notable matchups.

Miami Dolphins (+7.5) @ Minnesota Vikings (-7.5) 12/16/18

The Miami Dolphins are still riding high off their emotional win over the Patriots and the Vikings just can’t seem to get anything going. Minnesota has lost their last two games and four of their last six - not to mention that they just fired their offensive coordinator as well. The Vikings need to fix a lot of aspects of their team and get it together, but they don’t have much time left. The playoffs are a couple of weeks away and if they want to keep their wild card spot, they need to change dramatically.

The Dolphins are still in the hunt for the playoffs and they’ve got a pretty easy schedule after Sunday’s game against the Vikings. They will go on to play the Jaguars and the Bills to close out the season. It’s possible that the Vikings come out to this game on fire. After sacking their offensive coordinator and a two game losing streak, the Vikings need to remain tough for the rest of the season to maintain a lock for the playoffs.

The Vikings have the fifth best pass defense in the league and they’re going to be putting pressure on Ryan Tannehill in this game. The Dolphins are missing a couple of pieces in their o-line due to injuries, so if they want to beat the the Vikings, they need to protect Tannehill at all costs.

Can the Dolphins pull off another miraculous win against the Vikings? Watch on CBS this Sunday at 1:00 PM ET.

Dallas Cowboys (+3) @ Indianapolis Colts (-3) 12/16/18

The Dallas Cowboys have been on a tear recently, winning five straight games to lead their division with an 8-5 record. And while the Colts have had their ups and downs this season, they’re coming fresh off a win against the fiery Houston Texans.

These teams are both slept on and don’t garner much attention, but they’re both fantastic. The Cowboys have a fantastic WR in Amari Cooper. Cooper notched up 10 receptions for 217 yards and three touchdowns last week against the Eagles. The Colts of course, have Andrew Luck who is coming off a stellar performance in Houston. Luck threw 399 yards and two touchdowns to secure the win against the Texans.

Dallas has one of the best defenses in the league and the Colts have a fantastic quarterback and momentum. Do they have what it takes to stop the Cowboys and their five game win streak? Watch this Sunday on FOX at 1:00 PM ET.

New Orleans Saints (-6.5) @ Carolina Panthers (+6.5) 12/17/18

The Saints continue to be one of the best teams in the league and with only a couple weeks left in the season, it’s likely to stay that way. The Saints have been able to put the pieces together and have a truly fantastic season with an 11-2 record. The Panthers however, are not as fortunate, with a 6-7 record. Records aside, this game comes down to two division rivals and who executes better.

They key matchup to watch out for in this game is the running backs. Alvin Kamara for the New Orleans Saints has been sensational this season - sitting at second place for total touchdowns. Kamara is one of the biggest offensive threats that the Saints have. The Colts have an amazing running back of their own: Christian McCaffrey. McCaffrey leads all running backs in the NFL in receptions - and he’s only in his first year. The Panthers may not be a great team now, but give McCaffrey a couple of years and you have a true star on your hands.

Watch this Monday Night matchup on ESPN at 8:15 PM ET.
