Ok, Monday I made a $25 deposit to my Netspend card - my balance showed up (10.00) in the red - due to a $35 deposit to a casino made on the 23rd.

I contacted this casino and there is no such "hold" or "pending" transaction on their part - in fact - the deposit was successful and I even made another deposit later that day - but the one for $35 is still sitting in the "pending" column at Netspend - causing this negative balance.

I have called these people and asked why they are holding my funds and they say - well - ya know what - they haven't given me a viable excuse other than it being "this casinos" fault. THEY REFUSE TO RELEASE THE HOLD stating that the "system" will release it afetr 7 days - which is today -but today they tell me it will be on the 31st - so doing the math - that is 9 days. They have changed their R & R's with "gambling" sites and can no longer manually release the funds if its a gambling merchant.

The casino denies having anything on "hold" - that their processor has already collected those funds and says that there is always problems with this with Netspend - that its becoming standard practice.

This is my take - if Netspend has issue with "gambling" merhants than quite proccessing those transactions - but don't put a hold on a particular transaction because its a gambling site - IT MAKES NO SENSE TO ME!!

They are holding my funds illegally by discriminating on certain deposits to certain merchants - they have never put a hold on any tranny I have at at target or the gas station.

So sorry to whine - but this is frustrating as hell. The squeeze on US gambling activities is getting tighter and tighter. You have to wait days - even weeks for a withdrawl into your bank acct - and the deposit methods are getting weaker. UUUUGGGGG!!!

rae, so many people are going thru this right now!! I bought another netspend and so far on the temporary one they havent held any funds. also netspend told me that if the transaction is over $100 they can hold it for 30DAYS!!! so i wont spend over 100 at any casino right now. but i will tell you so far all the pendings have dropped off after 7 days so its just a waiting game

It has been 7 days - and now they say the 31st -man oh man.

Can you open another acct with the same info or what????

What about Wired plastic?? How long do the funds take to reach Wired if I use WU to deposit??

Any help will do.

I heard from Sloto'cash that several people have had problems
with making netspend deposits and then the deposit not going through
from netspend... (and they blame the casino) Netspend will fix the problem, but it does take a
while..

It is hard to complain to them because it is a gambling transaction,
which I think is not "technically" allowed.

As far as deposits from Western union to wired plastic...
you would need to ask wired plastic how long it takes.

Also- Intertops is now taking western union deposits directly. It takes
up to 24 hours for a western union deposit to show at Intertops.

thank god for quicktender - the only problem with it is the 50.00 minimum load. sometime I wish that I could only deposit 20 or so.
