Can we spend NLN $ on anything?

This may be a stupid question - can our NLN $ be used for anything? Not that there is any forum that can compare to NLN, but I have heard that on other forums you can collect points and then turn them in for something or convert them into casino credits.

Like I said, I was just curious.......
