BAD BEAT JACKPOT The Bad Beat Jackpot is a hand promotion for Texas Hold'em real money ring games (except for heads-up play).
The Bad Beat Jackpot will only be triggered on tables stakes of $0.50 - $1.00 limit or $0.50 - $0.50 Pot Limit/No Limit or higher.
The Bad Beat Jackpot is triggered when a player loses a showdown when he holds a very good hand.
The criteria for a Jackpot to be hit:
The player must hold four of a kind in tens (T-T-T-T) or higher.
The player must remain in the pot untill the showdown.
The player must not win any part of the main pot (side pots can be won).
The player must use both his hole cards.
No other player may lose the main pot on a higher hand.
If there are more than two hands involved in a Bad Beat in a hand, then the two highest hands are considered for the Jackpot. The higher of the two hands is the winning hand and the other hand wins the Bad Beat.
When a Bad Beat Jackpot is triggered:
40% of the Bad Beat Jackpot shall be transferred to the player holding the losing hand from the Bad Beat Jackpot.
20% of the Bad Beat Jackpot shall be transferred to the player holding the winning hand from the Bad Beat Jackpot.
20% of the Bad Beat Jackpot is divided equally among all other players who received cards in the hand.
