I just got this in my email today, It sounds so easy. I'm going to make it for Thanksgiving. I love slow cooker recipes because my oven is always so full on holidays and I can serve this the way I love desserts, hot with ice cream.....yum yum

Apple Pecan Crisp

Serves: 6

Ingredients
5 large Granny Smith apples, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices
2 tablespoons lemon juice
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cold butter

Vanilla ice cream

Instructions

1.Place apples in a lightly greased 5- to 6-quart slow cooker; drizzle with lemon juice, and toss to coat.

2.Combine flour and next 3 ingredients in a medium bowl. Cut butter into flour mixture with a pastry blender or 2 forks until mixture resembles coarse meal; sprinkle over apples.

This is one of my favorites. My son, who doesn't care for cranberries, will gobble this pie up!

CRANBERRY CRUNCH PIE

1 pie crust
1 lb. cranberry sauce (whole)
8 oz. cream cheese
1/2 c. brown sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/8 tsp. salt
1/3 c. flour
1/2 c. slivered almonds
3 tbsp. sugar
1/4 c. butter

Blend 1/2 cup cranberry sauce with softened cheese and spreads over bottom of pie crust, 9 inch pie tin.
Add brown sugar, cornstarch and salt to rest of the sauce. Place over other mixture in pan.

Crumble flour, sugar and butter. Add chopped almonds and put on top of pie. Bake 375 degrees for 40 minutes.

What to do with all those leftovers:

The Pilgrim Sandwich

Ingredients:

1 – 2 slices leftover homemade bread
A few slices leftover Turkey breast
A Few tbsp. leftover dressing
Cranberry sauce, if desired
2-3 ladles leftover turkey giblet gravy

Method:

Lay out a thick slice of bread on a large plate. Layer turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce (if desired). Pour gravy over the entire thing. top with another slice of bread, if desired.

Serve immediately.

Share. Indulge. Enjoy.

This is my all-time favorite sandwich!

My cousin in Michigan did the fried turkey for us a few years ago with his special cooker - sooo delicious!
