My prayers and thoughts are with you and your daughter. My daughter who is now 8 will celebrate her 3rd anniversary of her brain surgery on May 5th.

I have not seen my mother since sometime in October of last year (she lives in Indianapolis, and I live in Iowa), and I really miss her! The outrageous gas prices and our busy lives are getting in the way. I really need her emotional support because I'm going through so much lately and I need the kind of support that only a mother could give. Only she understands that I'm severely depressed and should be treated with care and a loving support. My boyfriend doesn't even understand!! I often cry. Icon_pai

Not only Mother's Day is on May 11th on Sunday, but my mother is celebrating her 48th birthday on May 15th. I'm sure that the only thing she wants for Mother's Day and her birthday is to be with her children and grandchildren......I want the same! Icon_syda

So many great stories. Happy Mothers Day to all who are here with us, and to those who have raised such great children!

I never thought it, but I get up every morning and say hello to my mother, in my own mirror. I look more like her everyday and can only pray that I will be like her in all that I do and say.

I lost my mom 2 years ago February and can't tell you how many times I have picked up the phone to just call and chat, or have a question only she knows the answer to...

I thank God with all my heart that I was hers and she was mine for all the years we had together, which believe me I am saddened that we didn't have more, but I know that I will be with her again.

Gwendolyna I am so sorry for your loss, I know just how you feel hun. It seems there is just never enough time in this life to be with the people you love. I cried steadily for 3 years after Mom died, a lot of the time I would be engaged in some chore and I would suddenly realize I was crying, it was so hard. Time really dose make it easier. It doesn't really make it hurt any less but it dose give you better ways to deal. I hope yours is a wonderful mothers day, I am sure just like TDTAT that you are a wonderful Mom, just like yours.
